This year’s Glow Winter Arts Festival invites visitors to go on a magical twilight journey of light and transformation over two weeks and in two locations: Prahran Square from 3 – 12 June and Central Park from 16 – 19 June.

When

Friday 3 June – Sunday 12 June.

Where

Prahran Square is located on the corner of Izett and Chatham streets in Prahran.

Public transport

There are plenty of public transport options right on the doorstep of Prahran Square.

Train

Catch the Sandringham Line train and get off at Prahran Station. Exit the station and head east along Greville Street (towards Chapel Street) then left into Izett Street.

Tram

Take Tram Route 72 and exit at Stop 30 at the corner of Izett Street (Prahran Market and Commercial Road).

Tram Route 78 also goes to Prahran Square. Exit at Stop 47 (Commercial Road and Chapel Street) or Stop 48 (Chatham Street and Chapel Street).

Bus

Bus routes 603 and 604 stop on Commercial Road just outside Prahran Market, opposite Izett Street.

Walk or cycle

Cycle paths are located on Chapel Street and Commercial Road. You can also take the back streets for a leisurely ride or stroll.

There are plenty of bike rack stations located around the Square.

Car

Prahran Square has a 500-bay car park facility located directly below the parkland.

The car park is open 24 hours and you may enter via Izett Street.

The car park features:

  • Accessible parking bays;
  • Travelator and elevators to both levels;
  • Charge point for electric vehicles;
  • Public amenities;
  • 24-hour parking; and
  • 24-hour Customer Service.

When

Thursday 16 June - Sunday 19 June.

Where

Central Park is located on the corner of Burke Road and Wattletree Road, Malvern East.

Public transport

There are plenty of public transport options available around Central Park.

Train

There are multiple trains you can catch and walk to reach Central Park. The walk from the train stations takes approximately 20-23 minutes, and you can catch a connecting tram to reduce your journey.

Catch the Glen Waverly Line and get off at Darling Station. Exit West heading towards Burke Road.

Catch the Frankston Line, Pakenham Line or Cranbourne Line and get off at Caufield Station. Exit North heading towards Central Park Road.

Catch the Frankston Line, Pakenham Line or Cranbourne Line and get off at Malvern Station. Exit East heading towards Central Park Road. Head to Wattletree Road and take Tram Route 5 that goes to Central Park. Exit at Stop 52 (Burke Road and Wattletree Road).

Tram

Take Tram Route 5 (Melbourne University to East Malvern ) and exit at Stop 52 (Burke Road and Wattletree Road).  

Bus

Bus route 604 stops on Burke Road just outside Central Park.

If you do drive to Central Park, there is on-street parking is available, but spaces are limited. Please allow plenty of time to find a parking space.

We strongly encourage alternatives methods of transport as there is very limited parking at this event.
