The Glow Winter Arts Festival brings Central Park, Malvern East, to life.

Returning for its ninth year, the Glow Winter Arts Festival presents a free program of stunning and immersive outdoor installations to spark curiosity after-dark in Malvern East. Glow invites visitors to go on a magical journey of light through Central Park.

Concentrated in one spectacular location over four nights, Glow Winter Arts Festival offers audiences the chance to be immersed in a night-world of colour and light. The Festival includes innovative works never before presented in Victoria.

How can I get to Central Park?

We strongly recommend walking, riding or using public transport to get to Central Park.

Tram Route 5 (Melbourne University to East Malvern) takes you to Central Park at Stop #52 (end of the line). For more information visit the Yarra Trams website.

If you do drive to the event on-street parking is available but spaces are limited, please allow plenty of time to find a parking space. We strongly encourage alternatives methods of transport as there is very limited parking at this event.

What age group is Glow suitable for?

Glow is suitable for people of all ages, young and the young at heart.

How much does it cost to attend?

It’s free!

Do I have to be a resident of Stonnington to attend?

No, you do not need to be a resident of Stonnington to attend Glow, however we do encourage residents to participate and join in the fun.

Can I bring my dog to Glow?

As Glow Winter Arts Festival is taking place outdoors in Central Park, Malvern East, dogs are able to come along but must be kept on a lead at all times. We also encourage you to consider putting a colourful or illuminated collar on them so that they are visible to other festival-goers to reduce tripping hazards.

Can we purchase food at the event?

Hot drinks and tasty snacks will be available to purchase on site, and a number of the local businesses surrounding Central Park will be open serving a range of delicious refreshments. Closing times vary, so please check with individual businesses.

Is there an official opening and can I attend?

The Glow Winter Arts Festival officially begins Thursday 15 May at 5pm at Central Park, Malvern East.

Is Glow accessible?

The parks and gardens within Stonnington are wheelchair accessible. Several installations are fully accessible.
